    Hi
I have downloaded a Streaming Audio file from the BBC website using a program called Hidownload. This has saved the file as a Real Audio file, i now wish to edit the fle to remove the voice of the DJ.

I have used the following programs.
    Real Converter
    Goldwave
    Advanced MP3 WMA Converter
    ezconverter
    Blaze media pro
    Nero 5

And none of them even recognise the file. If they don't recognise the file they wont convert it. They won't even open it.

Real Player plays the file with no problems.

All i want to do is open it and edit it.

    Any ideas?

    Nick

Real Player should have a converter built in but if it doesn't work, I would recommend Wisecroft Ripper. It can convert Real Media files to wav or mp3. You can download it here:

    Wisecroft Ripper

If you would like a link to a good audio editor too then post a request on the forum and I will find one for you.

    Hi

Thank you for your reply, i'll give it a go. Your link didn't work, it just led me to a blank page.

Any chance you could try again.

Did you press continue to so and so site? If u did then it is probably a pop up blocker problem. Press shift or ctrl or whatever button ur popup blocker uses to allow the pop up. Otherwise, if it's too much of a hastle I could find you another program.

Thank You all for your efforts.

I have sorted it i think. I went back to BlazeMedia and discovered that if i play the file in Real Audio whilst recording it using the Blaze Audio Editor then it saves it in a WAV format.

    Once again thank you.
