    Hi Again guys,

Well, i bought some blank DVD-R discs and hey presto after a million wasted DVD+R discs, it worked. I have dvd+rw which also work fine on my player so I can only assume it was the make of DVD+R I used this time.

One problem remains though. I loaded in footage from my dv camcorder. It loads on fine, plays fine. I edited it, then produced it. The finished product was the high quality I expected but here's the thing.

Whatever is happening, the DVD-R although playing fine now, is very grainy on my tv. Why? I set all the quality settings to max. Why cant I get the high definition film I have on the dv cams tape??

We are talking about two MPEG-2 files that run no more than ten minutes each.

    Any ideas guys?

you are going to lose something in the translation but you might try running it through a filter to see if you can clean it up more
