    Hi,

I want to take a small part of a dvd of a movie and put it in a slideshow program that I have. I know that an AVI can be added that I took with my camera, but the slideshow program suggests MPG file. My question is what program is best and easy to use to convert. I captured the movie and it is on my hard drive. Is Plato good? The free version only allowed 30 seconds. I don't want to buy it if it isn't good. I don't like when they have no telephone numbers or you cannot even email them. I don't trust it. If someone has it, please let me know. Is there something free out there? Or can someone suggest a good program. I have nero but I don't see where I can do that. thank you in advance
