I have a simple question that I don't think I have seen after joining and reading for the last few days. What is the best way to change a WMV file to one usable to burn on a DVD? Thanks, Mike

    Hi there,

    DivXtoDVD supports several format.

    http://www.vso-software.fr/

Give it a try and let us know if it supports .WMV files...

Although not free, DVDSanta works great for converting movie files and much more. I have converted all
kinds and it works every time. It does convert .wmv files by the way.

    Tis true. :)

I've added .wmv, .avi, .asf and .mpg files all at once and it converts them all into DVD files ready to burn. You can burn them at once to a DVD or to your hard drive to burn later. Has worked flawlessly for me so far.

I have tried a couple of these programs. At your suggestion I downloaded Santa and it worked perfectly the
first time with little or no setting of options. The other program I tried was DIVXtoDVD. This program would not do anything with the same file I used in Santa. I am going to have to go back tomorrow night, run it into
DIVXtoDVD and see if I can figure out what happened. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. Mike
