I can't even seem to download a correct codec to play this sole .avi which uses OGG. Know of a way to convert this or a DVDAutho which will convert the file to a proper format for burning?

If it really is an avi with ogg audio my advice would be to delete it.

All fine for an ogg vorbis stream. But the original poster said avi with ogg audio.

An avi with ogg audio though or say an ogm with vorbis audio?
I tried muxing ogg vorbis into an avi via ffmpeg and the only thing that could play it back was ffplay. Not sure whether ffmpeg stores vorbis as a raw stream or as an ogg when muxing to avi though.

    1) K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version) has codecs dealing with oggs. It also comes with Media Player Classic that I found can play avis with ogg audio (when PowerDVD, Nero Show Time etc. had failed).
    2) If you want to change the codec, try ImToo Mpeg Encoder.
    Good luck!

MPC has a built in ogm splitter which can also handle vorbis only ogg files. No vorbis, speex or flac decoder though.
