Hi, I'm having a problem converting a working MPEG file into a VCD PAL format MPEG using TMPEG 2.54.37, the video plays back fine but there is no sound.
When I open the file in Windows Media Player it sees the audio codec as MPEG AUDIO DECODER.
The original file plays fine but I need to change the bitrate from 1500kbps to 1150kbps. The bitrate conversion works but with loss of sound.
    What am I doing wrong?

Well Most VCD"s should play even with a Bitrate of 1500kbs and re-encoding will Totally ruin the quality..
You should use Tmpgenc"s "Mpeg Tools" to demultiplex the Mpeg file into it"s seperate audio and Video files and just re-encode the Video file and Mux the Audio with the New VCD file ,There is no need to re-encode the audio because it is allready in the correct format....
