    hi folks,i am using convertxtodvd,any advice on any other programmes that i could use to convert that would be faster??? cheers

    Ot likely, as converting speed depends more on CPU *and on RAM* than on the program's efficiency.

    Exactly.

    Encoding is strictly a CPU function....the faster they are, the more they have built into them (instruction sets and L2 cache)..and the more you have (dual/quad core)...the "faster" the encoding process is.


    edit: not to include video encoding/rendering as that is also done with a GPU.
