Hi, Yes, you can convert all Real Video 8,9,10 files, even with v2.2.3 already. You just need to add a few .DLL manually, or install Real Alternatives, which installs Real Media .DLL in your \Windows\Systems32 folder. Since I use "K-Like Mega Codecs Pack" (PLAYBACK ONLY Installation) I have those .DLL installed on my PC.
Thanks a lot. I did not know that, that's why I use the shady Winavi, as I have a big load of RMVBs. A pain in the arse with Winavi. I already have RealAlternative installed, but no RealMedia.dll. However, what it uses is RealMediaSplitter.ax , so I am assuming that is the RM decoder(same file different name??)? If ConvertxtoDVd works with RMVB as per your info, then I will give it a try. Thanx again.
No go. Installed those four dll files in the folder with ConvertXtoDvd.exe. It will not open the RMVB file, and that is pretty much why i would get the proggie:~(. The RMVB has AAC audio and RV40 video(which I guess is RealVideo 9).
No, I do not see that message. I thought maybe I had the dll files but not registered, so I tried to register them(regsvr32 ), and I got some error, DLL was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer or entry point was not found. Not sure, but I am thinking maybe those dlls are corrupt?I will download some new DLLs and see how it goes. Thanx again.
Hey, You should not need to register them... With v2.2.3, just slam them in the same folder as the .EXE and rock and roll. Copy them into C:\Program Files\VSO\ConvertX\3 Folder...
Thanx for your help anyway. I closed the start-up log. How do I do to display the log again at program start-up, the way you have it showing?
missing one = drv23260.dll ------ also do you have this one? = C:\WINNT\system32\cook3260.dll version 10.0.0.1625
I got that one too Rotary, it's at the bottom of the list not showing. Also got the cook3260.dll that shows in his log, still no go.
