I've used convertxtodvd with no problems earlier today.

Now I'm trying to create another DVD and I get out of memory errors and access violation errors for "msvcrt.dll."

The error always happens at 51% of the conversion.

Here are some of the things I've tried already just doing some searches on my own: 1) reduced write speed to 4x 2) Picked the "idle" option for Conversion Priority 3) I noticed my virtual memory had some static settings so now I've set it to allow the system to automatially manage it. 4) I freed up even more space. I now have 12.4 GB free. 5) closed every program. including tray icons.

The program and my PC just froze the last time. Seems like the CPU spikes to 100% and i can barely open up any new programs or shutdown the PC.

    Any help would be appreciated!

To see if it's ConvertX (and not the PC) causing the problem, try the free version and burn the DVD folder with ImgBurn.
If it is ConvertX, perhaps an update would help.

    http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe
Import the file(s) (AVI, WMV,MPEG, VOB)
Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)

    http://www.imgburn.com/

    Run ImgBurn
    Click 'Mode' > 'Build'
    Click 'Output' > 'Device'
Click 'File' > 'Browse for Folder', highlight on the 'VIDEO_TS' folder, > 'OK'
Set burning speed to 4x and click the green write button.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried running just the conversion piece on my laptop and it had the exact same problem at the same point. Then i removed one of the files which was giving play back issues.

The problem with this AVI is that it errors out when I try to play it using Windows Media Player even though I downloaded all the necessary codec's (I think so). I downloaded a divx player and it plays great.

I realized that when I opened up convertxtodvd it doesn't show a preview of the video.

Anyway, I just removed it and burned it without that one video.
