I have a 7g movie in MKV format and will like to convert to DVD but not on a regular DVD,i will like to burn it on a dual layer DVD but the program still wants to compress the movie even if i pick DVD-9 on the encoding settings. is there any way to leave the movie the size it is but converted to DVD-9 or other program that i can do it,because the movie is 720p and i don't want loose quality.

CX2D doesn't 'compress', it converts to standard resolution DVD.

You'll always lose quality when converting from .mkv to DVD. If you don't want to lose quality, only options I know of is burning it to blu-ray disc, streaming it to (360, PS3), converting to AVCHD or DivX or playing it off a USB/SD if your player supports it.
