I have seen some chatter on the net that others having trouble with cs 5k. Some are saying it is a clone proplem. Not sure as mine is still working. Mine did A/R for a few minutes this afternoon. It never seems to do that so think there might be something in the stream. If anyone else knows please join in.

Hey Cool...I just wonder what happened to the "other" site that all the old boys went to. I was a member, but when I would sign in, the website would try to load something like a virus onto my computer. I do see that blank and some others do not go there as much. They were the best and knew about everything you might ask. Just wondered what happened over there. Not to pimp the site either, just miss the old boys. I think your the only one I know a little from old days. CS is still so easy to work on, you hardly need help:p Later....

I don't know,I'm on other forums, but mostly I just read.I believe that this one was the best and allways very active and educative.Maybe the lack of support make the guys move to another box make(I did also),but my cs5k I still use it once in a while.Hope that CS keep the support and get the guys back.I also believe the CS5k still one of the best, easy to use & reliable.

Hey Coolnaza-great to see you here - I too, have just been reading. My CS5 was still up and running, just recently, but have cable also, but love the easiness of having both. I too, am sorry that the "old boys" disappeared. Have a great year.

The old boys are still around, you just have to look for them. I am sure the old threads are gone now, but if you remember any of the sites they were talking about, they are still there.

OK I am really frustrated!!!! My CK5 continues to scramble channel. I have hardbooted it. I have reautoscanned it and when it comes back to the channel - I have a channel but the minute I try to change the channel, it scrambles. I have 94% when it autorolls, so I know that the sat is pointed correctly. The autoroll is turned on. Does anyone have suggestions?
Also - I show 94% for Echostar 110 and 119-which one is the sat that everyone uses? It seems that I will always have questions.
    Thanks in advance.

You ask many things Kate. 1st I'm thinking you put in new bin? 188? Then did you do a database reset? Not sure why, but this sometimes will clear up problems. yes, echo 110 and 119 are both dn. signal seems plenty strong.
Start there and reset database. If you do not want to try this, then just hang on, i think cool or spanky may check in. Mine is working with new bin 188. Also if you took stb to computer to update, make sure all your lines are tight and wiggle them to make sure the scramble does not start when you pull coax. I check back soon. if you have link to cs 2nd board..it is oulined on pg 204. I tried to post the link, but it does not show up.

Kate the link on AD is http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/204/353430

It is something bill posted there on setting up a cs. I you go down about halfway you will see about resetting database. It is easy, but don't do it if you not used to it. Hope it helps till more help comes. :p

Thanks Deepwater - silly me did NOT check for the new BIN. Will load it this evening - have been able to do this, reset database, load Bin 100, and then new BIN for a while now - but every once in a while, I get into a mess - and then look for all my favorites here, to bail me out. My grandkids say I am way too techy for them - but I get FTA out of it so it is all worth it. Thanks again.
