Hello everyone! after hours of reading this forum, we made the decision to bite the bullet and upgrade to another brand!!!
yes, we have switched to a viewsat ultra (we held as much as we could...honestly...but patience run very dry...)
What we are asking is assistance on how to set it up...yes, we know this is not the veiwsat thread, but it is easier to find the gurus with all the knwoledge in this thread...
Can anybody help, or redirect us in the right path???
    thank you...thank you...

    Jerry and Bill have viewsats.
When they come on, you can start a viewsat thread and get some help there.

I think all the information you need to set it up is in bindepot.ca. There are a lot of how to's and all the files you need. Don't be aftraid of it, it's pretty easy.

If you don't care about spending the money and want to be up all the time I would buy a nf***** If I was a little strapped for money, and wanted to wait out the nagra 3 thing, I would buy a viewsat ultra, or a sonicview. Either brand are good, as long as they have the thumb drive upgrade ability. That is really handy.

Relax all before they close the thread. If you paid 150 bux for your cs4/5 or 6 and it lasted 2 years for free tv then you got your money's worth, stop complaining and upgrade. for what you paid in 2 years most cable customers pay in a month

You have several option to connect a nfu to the internet:

    1) Direct with an ethernet cable
    2) Use Netgear adaptors and plug it all together.
    3) Wireless bridge (requires bridge to be setup first)

All 3 plug into your router. From the router to your receiver, you choose 1 of the above 3 methods.

The worst thing about CS support going out, is that I will miss all the help I got here. Although I never posted until the new thread, I have been a fan of the old thread from pg 200 or so. You guys (and gals) have helped me with your posts from day one. It is hard to find a thread with so many smart people willing to help. There is always hope that support will come in some way, either converting 5k, or new bins. I have some idea's for new thread names.
    I hate CS thread or
    CS suck thread or
I am a CS addict. It has been 7 days since my last download thread

Anyway I am getting SV ultra in next day or so, and hope I see some of you on that thread. :)
Thanks, Steve, Breck, Bill, Jenn, Blank and many more I cannot think of now
    CS R.I.P
