I'm switching to SV4K for $130 ea.(buying 2). It's made by Viewsat, excellent support like VS,UBS loadable and cheaper than the Ultra. Did a lot of reading about diferent makes and this one...is the one.

Sounds like a good choice. Several people here went that route.

    You will like this:

Coolsat Conversion To CS7100 - Extremely Easy To Do

I have done a lot of reading and thinking on what is the best solution.

It is very easy to do and I am willing to help anyone out with the conversion.

It is a very simple job but within a couple of days and very little work, we can have you converted and using a Coolsat 7100.

I have to tell you that you will be extremely happy once you have converted.

All you would have to do is send me your old 4,5 or 6000 and I will get on it immediately

I will also require about $250 and I will convert your unit right away to a Coolsat 7100 and get it back to you in a jippy.

Brand new Coolsat smell and all.

    LOL

Can't blame a guy for trying....

There is another easier way.Buy a CS7100 or a 6100 and transfer the electronic boards to the CS5k box. You can even convert it to HD if you use a cs81k guts.I saw that in the do it yourself channel. LOL
