Try the forced flash, get everything setup on loader and ready to go, flip back switch on then press connect and you forced the load.

 

I think I did that already because the software went through, it fully copied and erase through the loader. I even had a quick chance to view software info, and it displayed NORW v 171.

 

Where did you get the 171 file from?

Still here but went through that awful move (as in relocate home territory) - now have highspeed. Have been patiently waiting for the new BIN - it is here and have been reading the pages. Have a new dual LNB dish and actually got it set up so that it receives. Just checking in - from one of those patient people who waited for the cs5 to release the new BIN - hope it stays up - where is Jerry?

Hey ganipedr: looks like we are the only ones with sunsats, do you think the new bin might fry our boxes?
What made you decide to get nf instead of other boxes, and which box would be your next choice?
Just trying to guess if the next box that I buy will last only a few months, until nagra 3.

Lets say you have the Viewsat9000 HD with the 8spk HD adaptor. Would you have to change the lnb's and realign your antenna? Thank you guys for any info. (Dishnetwork HD)

 

It's is only your descision, but the sunsat looks like a clone of the Coolsat. Their bins come out after Coolsat is released. From what I can tell, they just rename the bins with their own name. I would think the Coolsat bin would work, but like I said, you decide if you want to test it.

If it works, let me know. I assume you have Sunsat 6.0?

 

You would have to aim your dish to the sat with the HD channels.
Like with BEV, 91W is the main sat, but the HD channels are mostly on 82W. DN may be the same.

 

I'm still here, just not posting much since everything has been sort of slow. Actually been out shopping for a new vehicle. LOL.

I think our boxes are doomed. As you can see, even when the cs files are out, ours are nowhere to be seen, so there seems to be some issues there.

Besides, I'm convinced the old cs are doomed also, as it's obvious there is some big trouble involved here. There'll come the time when the price for the big files is too big to pay for the brand.

I chose the nf**** 'cause I feel it has a good chance to beat the nagra 3 encryption, as it is based in iks. Merely the odds. . In any case, the cost is not that high and I found a distributor that sells them in Mxico for a fair price (2,375 pesos).

And by the way, the nf*** just arrived home, so I will be able to set it up tonight after work. I'll let my friends here know if I need any help.

The sunsat is obviously a coolsat clone, but it won't accept the bins for the coolsat. It appears the coders put some lines to identify the box you can use the bin on. Surely to be able to charge avery manufacturer some dough. I have tried to load them but I get the message "Wrong bin file" or something like that.

So we are really screwed. We need to wait for the cs 6 k file and then wait for the sunsat version to appear at xxx.sunsatusa.com...
This time, then 171 file is yet to be loaded into that site.

It might get better, but I wouldn't count on it. If cs is trying to hurt the clones, it's likely they're trying to prevent their coders from producing the clone version of the bin. That might be part of the problem and why this last file took so long to appear.

O.k. How about this one. I can run the cs5 with the vs ultra off at the mein power switch. the cs works perfect. the minute I turn the vs back on, the cs goes haywire!! In the menu settings in the cs5 all three sats 91 110 119, all read 110 in the upper right corner. When I turn the vs back off, the proper listings came back??

 

Just wondering about your switch.
Do you have #1-119 #2-110, #3-91?
