You don't have to install each bin.

Install 172 and make sure autoroll is on.

It should work with no problem.

If it doesn't, maybe you need to factory reset you box. Look in the previous thread and you can find the procedure in detail posted there somewhere.

 

What?? So... it's working or not??? What changed keys (that the cs5k did not??). If you expain a little bit your problem, for sure someone could help you. Even though it seem's your box is working.

Hi guys...sorry to post this here,but I just got a VS4K and I'm lost.Can not fint 119 or 110 sat. Also how to load new bin using the null cable.I have read the owner manual and the instruccions on Bindepot,all mention usb(don't have one yet),but no one mention how to do it with the cable. !Nothing beats cs5k for simplicity.!

I agree with Jerry. I bet they are already linked to that server since its out of the country and watching the IP addresses that are linking to it. If they bring them down then they could go after the IP addresses. That would be a lot of money that the Gov needs since we are so far in debt. They have super computers where they can trace anyone. Thats my opinion on it.

 

If you would pm me your email, I'll send you a how to to load the SV4000. I am assuming you are talking about a Sonicview 4000, because there is no VS 4000.

The how to I have is for a SV 1000. Both load the same.

This is a pictorial how to, otherwise I would post it here.

You need to download (Downloader_vo201) download the latest bin (SV4000_Vo226 Blackout Fixed 04-08. Unzip and run the installer just like you would do with the CS.

 

I have done that,but do I just turn on the box and leave there or do I have to move to another page on the main menu?

hey coolnaza. once you have the downloader click on download file then choose the file(new fix) then the data trasfer window pops up. then turn of and on the receiver from the back and then the transfer begins. then onces trasfer is complete you can do the downloading of channels.

 

What really helped me was downloading the SV4000 guide. I had already downloaded the guide, the installer and the latest bin before I ever purchased mine. The hardest problem I had was downloading the channels.
I didn't follow the instructions in the manual and got a lot of double channels. I deleted the channels and followed the instructions and everything worked ok. It took me about 30 min to get up and running.

I did that and if it is the same it only shows how to do it using a usb.

That is correct. After you download the loader and the latest bin (posted above), there is a Instruction How-To-program SV that you can download. I think I found mine at hxxp://xxx.livefta.com/forums/sonicview. It gives you steps with pitures. Here are steps: 1. Turn off the STB using the on/off switch in the rear. 2. Open downloader. 3. Click connect to select com port. 4. Click download file. 5 Choose current file (SV 4-9-08 - Vo226P) 5. Once the Data Transfer window pop-up, turn the STB on by using the rear on/off switch. 7 Once you have turned the STB "on" by using the on/off switch in the rear, the file will start to transfer.
8. Once the transfer completes, Please do not turn off the stb until it reboots automatically. Now you can go into setup by pressing Menu>> channel search.....for user setting. Press Menu>>System Setting. There is not a complete manual for the SV like the CS5000, so you have to download 3-4 different How too,s to get complete instructions. The easiest way to load bins it with a memory stick and use the instructions and your remote. Hope this helps.
