Coolsat 5000 Questions PART 2

Thanks a lot,I have a folder in my documents with all the help i find,I'm watching tv.but still a lot to learn about this SV4K.
Still nothing beats CS4K.
I bought 2 SV to replace my CSs,and wanted to be able to USB load.

glad you are up and running. I like the SV but when the support is there I like my CS5K better. I guess because its so easy and I'm confortable with it. The SV don't seem to have the signal strength on E******7 as the CS. As a matter of fact some of the lower channels were giving me a No signal today around the 100-112 range. I can't find a forum where anyone else has had this problem. I wish they would start a SV thread on here like the CS5K. Enjoy.

 

I like my cs5k. I just lost sat 110 on my SV4000. Are you or somebody else experincing the same.
If I cannot find it I'm installing my cs again and see if it is missing in the cs too.

 

Did you loose your signal strength or did it went scrambled channel???

Signat strenght...looks good around 75% quality nothing. Channel on 110 shows..no signal. any ideas.thanks

 

If I remember correct, quality refers to the link between receiver and lnb. That seems to be not bad.
Signal is link between sat and lnb. Looks like issue is there.

Maybe issue with water in lnb?
Maybe needs adjusting?

Did you try hooking your old receiver up and see if it works on 110?

Just connected my CS4K......Perfect...must be something withing the SV4K that I screw up while setting favorites. Any suggestions?

 

Write the setting for the 4000 done and enter them exactly on the other one.

 

I have a hard copy of the cs setting from the first time I bought it.That is the one I use,so the setting are identical.
What about if I do a factory reset and start from the begining.?
I have tried to erase the channels that I move to the favorites,but can find how to do it. If I go to favorites channels on 119 works except the ones on 110. Still cs4k connected..ok. I'm connecting back the sv4k.
any suggestions.

 

Maybe be a grounding issue

 

I believe that signal strength is from the receiver to the lnb, Quality if from the sat to the lnb.

Could be wrong, but don't think so.

Radio Shack or something like that has adaptors.

 

Make sure it comes with the driver

 

Hi all, question. CS 5000 about to load the latest file, when I do the factory reset, then load Bin 100 it loads it over and over without stopping (seems like forever so after 4-5 times I manually stop it), then when I load the newest Bin it does not reload over and over, any ideas?

 

Do you peform the factory database reset like you should?
