Hey Breck and Blnk. Went to see my friend? who sold me the crappy multistar switches. He was not there, of course. I asked the fella who works for him if they carry the chieta switches. He said yes. 25.00 dollars each!!! Said they were worth every penny!! I said I agree but, not for 25.00 bucks each. I left the store. I will go back when the bald headed owner is there next weekend!! Just to play with him. LOL.

Dont even waste your time or effort. Best way to show him is to boycott his store by not buying anything from him again, that will hurt worse than words. In Business especially retail its about customer retention which he has now lost. I got 6 Chieta switches shipped for 60.00 bucks, if you want info PM me

nFusion runs hot, dont keep in an enclosed cabinet, keep in an open well ventillated area and even put a fan on it. There are cheap small fans from walmart you can use.

I read the "Dongle" is unlike nFusion, you need a large modem like devide to connect and they are approx 90.00 so for half the price of a new stb you get your old 4/5/6 by tapping into an IKS server, dont know who's or if they have permission but thats the latest. CAptain right now is reported NOT to work and the only working one is CS 6100

First off check to make sure you took the plastic off it. I have seen a lot of people not ever know it was there.

I bought a lap top cooler. It's a pad that has a fan in it, the lap top sits on. The one I got runs off 110. Just plug it in and set the nfusion on it. Works good.

Got it on a close out at Frys. 20 bucks

Still here. Not catching much fish. Really windy yesterday. I went up to Kingsburg to visit some friends, set the timer to tape the fight last night, the wind blew my dish over while I was gone and I got 3 hours on the tape of searching for signal.

Going out tomorrow and tuesday........if it stops blowing.

Use cinderblocks on each leg of tripod and try and put 3 large items on the sides that arent in front of antenna to eliminate gusting if you can.

Dongle for the Coolsat is only a small little adaptor you plug into the back of your receiver. $90 is about right. CS 8000 is still up.
I guess the 8100 would be also.

I have one of those wimpy little wineburg tripods, or what ever they are called. It has a auger that is supposed to be screwed into the ground and then an bungee cord attached in the center. The ground out here is like concrete, so everyone ties a gallon of water to the center to hold it down.

This morning I got out the drill, drilled holes in the base. Now I have a gallon in the center, and three more hanging around the base. If it blows that over, the whole mess goes in the river.

Here is a link to a thread that has a discussion on the loop out, what it does and what it will not do.

Probably easier reading this, and probably has your answers.

I wil have to be hauling this thing back and forth from home to the river all the time. I am going to leave the tripod here.

My wife wants to get a sub for DN. She hates cable, and the prices are going out the roof.

Wish there was a affordable HD unit. I just redid my entertainment room at home. Now if we switch, I will have to do some rework.
