Sounds like either a switch problem or cable. you have to troubleshoot the problem, what is your harware setup other than the VS?

i appologize for the delayed response blnk, i was on the phone with my cousin who helped me set everything up, but we both dont know what hardware we have (the two sat were already up when i purchased the house so all i did was buy the box and plugged it up and downloaded a bin and i was watching tv)he says i should do a factory reset and start all over to see if that fixes the problem.

No Signal is an indication that either you are having bad weather ie raining hard, snow on dish or bad switch or short circuited cable. Factory reset will not do anything.

Both LNB's are twin. I'm thinking I might need to get a quad and two switches to make this work to two receivers.

Sounds more likely the DiSEqC switch is blown or a cable is loose or shorted. Turn off STB from back, unplug power and unscrew coax cable/ lnb in cable from stb before proceeding with troubleshooting cables.

DP twin need the DP 34 switch, they will not work with FTA switches so your cheapest option since they are already both DP TWIN is to buy a DP 34 switch and problem solved. 119/110/91 to dp34 to 4 stb's.

Anytime you see a no signal , it could be that something is blocking the satellite signals as a big tree for example.Summer is on its way and the trees are cover with leaves.Pay someone to cut down the trees from your yard ( kidding)

Here we go again...this are the test I did this morning...When the weather got hot I touched the switch and was warm to the touch,I put a rag soaked with cold water to cool it down and see if it start switching like it does on night time...did not work.switched port on the switch....no improvement. Switched to the old CS4K switch and got worse. Installed a brand new switch from the SV4K(this is the second SV switch I use and still lock on sat 119. Now if I change sat 110 transponder from 12224 to 12239 I get good signal and 45 on quality. Driving me nuts!!!
    Any coments will be welcome!!

I had a similar problem where I was only getting one sat. DP twin with CS5K. I can't remember which one came in, 119 or 110, but the bad one said "No signal". We'd just had a storm so I thought the dish may have moved a little so that only one of two SAT signals was being received.

I brought a small tv out to connect the cable from the dish to the CS5K and then to TV. BOTH SATS CAME in just FINE!!! I brought the STB to the living room and it worked FINE!!!

My problem was a cable end termination that dropped enough voltage/provided just too much resistance, for the one SAT signal to be impeeded from the dish to the cable running to the bedroom. I ran new cable and all was well.

If you can try this out let us know what happens.

This is a very simple troubleshoot COOLNAZA first turn off back switch to stb and then unplug from power and remove coax cable, then from DiSEqC switch "reciever" get a new patch cable and run from switch to stb. If it works you have a bad cable. If not bypass the DiSEqC switch by running the lnb cable directly to stb, if it work, its your DiSEqC switch. If not run new cable from lnb to stb, if it works, it was your lnb cable, if not its you LNB itself or you have wrong settings for LNB type.

    Good luck

Thanks Blankstare......I just got home from Home Depot and bought 25' of RG6 to replace the cable from the lnb(110 sat) to the switch tomorow morning..
Now here is a good one....it is 7:00 pm ,when I turn the system on.....It is workinggggg!!!!!.I tune one channel on 110 and change to a 119 channel about 8-10 times and works nicely. I'm geting more suspicius that the lnb is failing when the weather gets hot.The dsqc switch is brand new as I posted around noon. Also what about if I exchange LNBs. I meam the 110 lnb to the 119 dish and viseversa and see if the problem change to the other dish.
    What's your opinion.
    Thanks a lot
