Please don't get me wrong, I do like the c/s . Over the v/s ultra I like the c/s way better. I was just thinking if the security was compromised originally, what are the odds something will match. If I try one what will happen??

What exactly do you want to try-- that pansat conversion listed above?? The only way it might work is if the Coolsat being converted happens to use the same chip set as the Pansat. Even with same chipsets there are usually some wiring differences to the main processor that each manufacturer does just to stop such a trick. Usually not a big difference and if it can be changed easily if might be possible. In some cases the files can be written to work around the differences but it would require someone that knows the inside workings of each box. Good idea if it can be done. I would guess if the bin doesn't match, the receiver will reject it and not load. Just a guess.

I don't mean the p-sat listed above. That would be nice. I just mean maybe c/s knows something else will work. I know the security was mostly the clones came out. But maybe there's something they don't want us to know???

Well the Coolsat 4000 to Pansat bin could be a possibility since they use the same chip (sti5518 I think is the number). But someone that codes needs to look at the bins and compare each. The argument on the OTHER site is that if they completely discontinue support for the CS4000-5000 and 6000, the source code should be released to let other coders see what can be done. Blacklist stopped support for the Pansat 2500 but many are still in use converted to 2700 models by another coder. This is what needs done with the Coolsat models if possible.
