Coolsat 5000 Questions PART 2

Those cards are married to the box they came in. If you put it in another box, you will loop it and then have to explain to your provider what you were doing

 

my God in heaven,saw a new bin released this morning when i got home,downloaded it, it didn't work, got my new cw 800 box today, fired it up, and i think i could more easily program the space shuttle. this isn't my day.

 

Well if anybody needs me i'll be in bills garage.

Hey Bill. Just so you know, my brother has a subscription to bell in kingston and he got another card for a second receiver and gave it to my mother in newmarket and she has been watching it for 2 years

 

if you see any german rocket scientists send them my way. the new bin is out for my cw and i have no idea what to do with it. i tried the loader and can't get it to load. other boxes may stay up longer than coolsat but nothing in the world is easier to program. of course you have lots of time to figure out all the functions of coolsat while waiting on bins...

You are probably right Bill, but this is what I was told some time back. The card will loop only if swapped between provider receivers since they need to match the card. Since FTA receivers don't have that type encryption the cards would work if the card slot is active. I never tried it either way so I don't know how true that information is. I don't think I would try it without more positive feedback. I haven't messed with plastic in many years.

can anybody give any information on a receiver i received over weekend, its a Pan Tec, Ultra. Presently testing CS5000 & CS6100.

I just got lucky and managed to get onto the site within minutes of the bin being loaded .. its likely to be busy for awhile. good luck all
