Coolsat 5000 Questions PART 2

Well since everyone is going to exchange their 5000 for a 6100, should we rename this thread Coolsat 6100 or start a new one for those that are going to take this deal. You can tell there are problems with their bin files with glitches, and how long have they been out? Blnk go back to their web site and request a swap with a 7000 or 7100 for 79.00. Whata you think.

 

Why waste your money on anything with coolsplat's name on it. If they do this once, they will do it again the next time the coders take off on them.

 

For a list of dealers that sell viewsats and NOT CLONES go to viewsatusa. There is a list of dealers there and they are reputable.

 

I have to agree with Bill on this. I don't own a Coolsat but after all the past problems and current internal problems I would take that $79.00 exchange price and put it towards a receiver that has good ongoing support. I really believe that Coolsat won't last much longer as a FTA brand. Just my opinion so take it for what its worth.

Is it true bin is out for c/s 4,5,6. Tried f2atv but page is unavailable. Can someone confirm?

I bought a rs232 adapter that connects to my usb, but it doesnt work. I installed the driver, but a cant load the bin. In would say its not connected. Is anyone else using the same clear blue adapter, from ebay?? I have the new bin 174, but the adapter isnt working.

 

I see them on a site that I go to sometimes, it shows a release date of today. It may be authentic but I would rather wait for confirmation to see if they're on F2ATV. If it is so, it only goes to show ya the backlash not supporting them caused and they know it. F2ATV is too busy right now for me to get on.

 

Yeap, the bins v174 are on F2ATV. They were posted 2 hours ago. Have at it ladies and gents. I guess they couldn't handle the heat.

 

I am in the middle of downloading along with the rest of us suckers. I am still ordering my new sonic view at the end of the week!!!!

 

You should be ok with that sonicview - they seem to have excellent and reliable support. Good luck.

 

Hey Jerry i picked up a VS today and started testing but dont see sat AnikF3 118.8, even after software upgrade?

 

Actually if you figure it out,

Send the old unit to them, about $10-15
Buy the 6100, $79.00
Ship the new unit to you, about $10-15

Total cost for new 6100 worst shipping prices $109.00 + taxes if applicable.

What are new units going for now? $109.99
And you get to keep your old unit.

Also, Coolsat Canada is selling the old 4,5,6000 units for $29.99.
Funny that they are turning them around and reselling them. SCAM

 

All VS units are up and all VS updates come quick.

There not for parts, they are reselling them for $29.99. They still get FTA channels with factory bin.
