Coolsat 5000 Questions PART 2

Thanks Breck, Afterdawn Addict, (congrats by the way), this is just what I need to connect these 4 sats. I'm thinking about using two 2X1 DiSEqC switches, do you recommend Chieta WSD 2001, or Dish sw21. I wish I had two quads, but don't have.

 

Are they DP duals or DP Twins? 2 eyes or 1 eye?

 

I think they are DP Twins. You can only connect two cables to each set of LNBs.

 

Maybe they are duals because they have two eyes.

 

Hey guys, I am running cs 6000 bev and am still down, is it only dn that is back up or am I just the unlucky one?????

Congratulations to Breck...now you officially addicted !!!

I have a question...my friend bought a SV4K, he have a direct tv antenna, single dish,single LNB. We connected the new SV stb. Signal strengh is good but no quality....do we have to replace the LNB for a DN compatible??. Do the dish needs to be aligned to 119 or 110? I have no idea what sat he is receiving with the Direct TV box.

The latest bins should be up on everything.
The 6100, load the latest bin with the usb drive right over top of the old bin. When it loads, the receiver will restart itself and the tv will come back on. No rescanning.

 

DN came back on, but BEV was still down on old bin.

 

The dish definitely has to be moved to aim at the correct sat.
As for the lnb, it would be best to move the dish first to test it.
Let us know. Would be nice to know if it works.
