I do not think i am qualified to say wich is the best answer for a box,from what i have read nfusion is the one that is down the least,we have coolsat and nothing else so i do not know how well the others work, sorry wish i could be of more help

 

The other forum is closed,due to a lot of B...S... from some members.
This is the way I have being loading new bins for the past month or two.(maybe 5 bins).
I download the new bing to my PC,open the loader,turn off the box from the remote. Then load the new bin, after it finish,do an auto detect to make sure the new bin was loaded. Turn the box on from the remote and watch tv.No bin 100,No factory reset,no scan. I don't disconnect the box from the PC. It have work fine for me .It takes about 1 minute.

 

smkhtnfyr, I just flashed the 100 bin for first time, and then 168. I was doing it like "cool" but was afraid there might be memory issue, but not sure. If you look at old thread on page 204, Bill outlines on how to load bins. NOTE: It also does not say to load factory, but I just did as you did by loading factory bin first, then 168. You might just try skipping the factory bin and see if it works as Cool has said. I also have "clean" bin that wipes out everything, but too afraid to try as I not have much info on it.

 

Good to see the bins came out last night, very surprising but good news. One more bit of info on the Nfusion PVR. Since it is done on your PC through the LAN by a program that you need to install on your PC, it doesn't have the same functions like the real PVR's we know do. It doesn't have any time-slip or chasing-playback functions - it only records to PC from live TV. And since the playback on these recordings are jerky and can be only viewed on your PC, unless you somehow hook your PC up to your TV, this function on the Nfusion is very poor. The Nfusion team says they are working on better software, but until a big improvement comes, this is something that should not be considered for this box at this time. Good luck with the new bins, hope they hold up for a reasonable amount of time this time.

 

could someone running bev on cs 5000 check out to see if you are getting channel 426 and see if the game is coming in ... wondering if its just me getting scrambled on that channel.

 

not on cs5 but its o.k. on cs6100

 

I just loaded bin 100 then bin 168. I am a seasoned satellite user. and I am not getting anything other then scrambled channel. is bin 168 already down. is anyone else haveing trouble??

xsunny. I just flashed both 100 and 178 about an hour ago on cs 5k. One thing i noticed is it took about 10 minutes to roll. Did you check and make sure autoroll in on?

 

Make sure autoroll is on and it takes 10-20 minutes to roll

 

Me 2 I have had it 2 wks out of 2 yrs.

 

Mine rolled pretty quick, took less than 30 seconds.

 

Took mine close to 20 minutes, time for a nvram reset and a factory reset i guess

 

Yeah I did mine a few bins back and havn't had any problems since.
