Some people seem to be having a problem with autoroll. Might want to try a reset and see if it fixes that problem.

Hi guys ,I have a CS5000 and everything is working fine except every now and then it turns off while watching Tv and I would have to physically squeeze and hold the box for about 30 sec.then its back to normal. Also recently I've been hearing a funny noise like a whistling sound coming from my CS5000, seems like when I tune to Bev. Maybe someone might have experience something like this or my CS is on the way out. please help, just would like to know whats going on.

I don't know if anybodly can help me. I asked before but the new Bin came out and everybody was gone. Currently testing CS5000 & CS6100 on both 91 & 110. My question is, I picked up a PanTec Ultra. Its old, and I can't find any information on it. Is it too old and has no support?

You have to turn rear power off and back on.
    Autoroll is causing freezing.

I would clear the NVRAM, do a factory reset and then load the latest bin, scan all sats puts in settings and evaluate from there

Nice to have bin working for so long. thx. anyway i asked this a bit ago but was confused by response. i am wondering how to get the actual correct real time channel info on my guide. i have cs5k with bev. the music channels all have the right info so it must be possible for all channels, just don't know how to do it. i have been using the interactive guide on bell's website which isn't bad but kind of a pain. please treat me like a 3 year old when explaing. i am pretty new to this.
thx in advance to anyone that can help. go habs.

In your menu, the settings have BEV Renumbered ON.
This adds 1000 to the channel #. This is done for those using both BEV and DN so the channel #'s don't overlap.
Find this in your menu and set BEV renumbering OFF and you will have the correct channels.

Also go into Menu> System settings> Time Settings

Make sure your "local Offset" is set correctly to get proper time zone in your EPG

EPG carrier is an Electronic Program Guide carrier channel. it is not a dedicated channel like lets say a channel guide for comcast or cablevision (cable guides) but it allows the signal to update your EPG. In your case BEV is 212 (1212 with renum ON)
