Coolsat 5000 Questions PART 2

Is still interrupting about every 4=5 minutes.Wonder if we need a new bin, or a correction for this one.
The coders should know and maybe come with a solution...I hope!!

It will only work until the next roll of keys, then you need to turn back autoroll

 

Rumor has it they are workjing on a AR fix

 

My cs5000 keeps scrambling also but so far it keeps coming back. I know why people keep asking questions about other receivers on this thread, when you post on another thread you don't get any answers. That goes for the other sites also.

Yes, we try to keep an open mind on here. I was just on f2atv and they closed one of the threads because Coolsat owners were trying to say that other boxes were working and just Coolsats were having trouble. The mod there keeps saying its a new ECM in the stream, which may be true, but it seems to only bother the Coolsats if it is true. They just don't want to hear about it.

I saw Will2bbad closed the thread because 1 person put a thumbs down and said hi SV went out for 2 seconds and that was it but it was unbearable to watch on a coolsat...lol I guess he got offended.

 

hey blankstare,i got another question. i got d/n and today i got to play around with my other dish and i was able to pick up nimiq 91 for bev, with 90% level and 93% quality ...well i put em all together with the disq that came my c/s 5k.. but when i go to scan the sats, it only recognices echostar 110.. what am i doing wrong ? do i explain myself good enough

 

what is a ar fix? and i saw that it is already out on f2atv. would that fix the scrambling.

 

I think you have to go to the Bev sites and set them up and select what
ports you have your other dish connected too. Maybe someone else in here can explain it better than I, since I haven't set my other dish up yet.
(still gathering info).

 

If you got another dish or lnb and pointed/aimed at 91 nimiq there should be a lock on 91 nimiq, if the lnb is inserted into port 3 on your DiSEqC switch make sure your settings reflect that or you wont "lock" in on the signal

 

AR is abbreviated for Autoroll

 

I was on f2atv earlier also and the mod posted a message that anyone that came in and bashed cs would be banned for 10 days.

If anyone can tell me, I'm trying to purchase a usb/serial cable. Do I need a null or straight cable and should it not have a female end on the serial end? If anyone can help it would be appreciated. My neighbor is getting tired of me borrowing his old laptop to update my cs.

You need a cable like;
USB to serial adapter cable

and you need the Null cable

 

I am currently aimed at Bev 91, but the dish itself has 2 lnb's on it that are marked as 110 & 119. Blank said something about the difference in degrees for DN 110/119 & Bev 91/82 is the same. My questions are what are the advantages of getting Bev 82 with 91, and is 82 on the left or right of 91?
