    WOW!!! these coolsat coders are the best. I mean they are almost able to make my coolsat work as good and my pansat 2500a that i bought back in the 1990's. hats off. well i'm off to fire-up my Comadore 64.

    I noticed this morning that I am still off and on, so I plugged in my back-up VS platinum. I have not had it go out once, lose voice for a second every ten minutes or so. But like I said it is my back-up.

    I have noticed over the past year or so that people are always joining and making comments on how great the support is. Like you said Blank it is just from teaching ourselves that we can become more knowledgable about these systems.

    People also comment on the lack of support on every other box. I was doing some research and paying attention to the FTA world and noticed that it is perhaps because the coolsat 5000 is one of the most widely used and most popular boxes.

    Can anyone confirm that?

    Or is it just that we as CS owners care to help others by sharing our knowledge?

    you know its kinda of a pain watching the tv go in and out but, atleast its still up and running i can wait for the fix

    CJC, it is a pain but you are right at least it is better than watching no tv and having to spend time with my kids!!

    But seriously it is still better than no tv.

    Its for the epg or guide. When you go to that channel and leave it on there for 15 minutes or more it would show whats showing later on in the day rather than just 1 hour only.

    I would have to say that this site is the best one for support and you can get all the info for hardware etc... here as well or on brecks site - bindepot.

    Those are channel epg carriers

    They bring in the epg guides and quickest if done 1 minute before the hour, example 12:59pm. They update the guide automatically.

    make a favorites channel list, include the carrier channel (bev 212, dn 239) this will give you epg upto 7 days
