Coolsat 5000 Questions PART 2

New bins are freezing on 5k & 6100.
I can't tell the difference from the last bin here.
Both DN & BV

 

Blnk: Just finished installing 170 (hope it works better than 169) and saw your message. I just went out and checked and 119 is on #3 and 110 is on #4. What should I do turn everthing off and go out and change the connectors? Then what will need to do when I turn it back on?

 

Yes.

Turn the rear power off.
Un hook the cable from the rear of the box.
Switch the cables on the switch - always #1 - 119, #2 - 100, #3 - 91, & #4 - 82. If you don't have 91, 82 - no worries. Just for reference.
When done, hook the cable back to the box.
Turn the rear power on.
Go to the menu and set 119 dedicated to #1 and 110 dedicated to #2.

It has been said that if you don't put 119 in #1, your sat won't be recognized.

 

I Installed it about an hour ago and it hasn't freezed up yet.

 

Hi breck. Nevermind it has been said, you're right! Listen to the man, put the settings as he said and if all is well it will work.

 

I put mine on at 1200 pm and I live in ontario canada. No problem.

 

Hey Blank & Breck. The chanels that wont come in are not scrambled. They are No Signal. Even the round signal indicator, when you turn the channel, is 6%-7% and RED. On other channels the signal indicator is 97% and GREEN. Blank the only channels that i can remember are: 553-Treehouse, 212 EPG, 627-Space, 628-Spike. When i did a factory reset and rescaned those channels(and more) just are there anymore.

Sorry guys had to run to the basement, that's where the cs is. I checked the tree house and the other channels, they seem to be working.

 

I loaded mine this morning and only scrambled 2 times for about 3 minutes,other than that is working fine on DN. Much..much better than 169.

 

On file 170 Babar just ended on tree house. Believe me the kids went to bed hours ago! It's almost 1200 am here and you guys got me checking out cartoons!! I think we have a problem houston! LOL!!

 

The 6100, 7000 & 7100 updates are the ones that aren't working.
The updates that came out today are worse than the old bin.
Rolling back from 141 to 140 seemed to help.
Was getting to the point of scrambled channel every 30-45 secs and then it settles down for a while. Getting the load screaching sound which kills the ears.

 

What's on next? LOL
What about YTV?

Hey Breck. I grabbed bin 170 from bindepot and installed it on the receiver, did a facory reset and rescaned sat again. My daughter will be happy in the morning. All channels r back. Thanks for everyone help

Its the same time here, but believe me if i didnt get Treehouse working here my daughter would have made me sorry. I would be wishing i was in space LOL. Thanks for your help.
