Yes it does come in directly to the box.

 

i just uploud bin 170 ... no channels .......any advice pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i have the same problem, my box is not getting signal and i did factory reset and load 100 bin and reload bin 170 and still the same, so any body can help me?

 

You need to learn some patience.
Everytime a new bin comes out, you come and post in a big panic.
No need for it. It is the same each time.
Loading bin and scanning, then sit back and wait for the autoroll to do it's magic.

Even though the channels came back here is good info to hold onto:

No H Polarities

OK, there's your reason why you're missing a couple of hundred channels.

Not having Horizontal Polarity TPs can be caused by a number of things.

1. You have incorrect LNB Type in your Dish Settings

2.If your LNBs are Legacy, and you use LNB Type of OCS-DP you will Not have any H TP.
Vice versa if you have DP LNBs and you use "Single" for LNB Type, you will lose all H TPs.

3. Your Coolsat LNB Polarity Switching Transistor or other component got zapped because you failed to turn the Power OFF with the rear switch while connecting/disconnecting your LNB cable.

4. A faulty connector causing a Voltage drop and lowering the 18 Volts needed to switch to the Horizontal TP to below the threshold of 16 Volts.

5.Your LNB Power is set to 13 Volts instead of ON/Auto, then you will lose your H TPs also.

I would Turn the Power OFF with the rear switch on your Coolsat and examine The connectors at both the LNB and STB end. Maybe best to recrimp the connectors.

If you have a friend where you could test your CS5K or if you have another STB to verify that your cable/connectors are good.

 

Has anyone noticed that some channels are missing? for example 456 does not apear on my coolsat 5000. This channel has been missing for a while I just know how to get it back. I've reset everything done a blind scan, an auto scan and still nothing. This channel comes in on 110 transponder 6.

Are you getting "No or Bad signal" or is your screen just black?

 

well after i did all that, just says no channel and i go to menu and i just get like 18% signal and its all red not green but screen insn't black

 

It sounds like your stb isnt getting flashed.

Try this:

Make sure power is off from the switch on the back of your Coolsat. Get your loader ready with Factory bin....when your ready to reflash your box flip the power on and hit the upload button AT THE SAME TIME the flash should take as normal now.....factory set then reflash bin 170....it should work just fine.

 

You have to input your settings, did you perform a factory flash with bin 100?

 

Goto:

Menu>Installation code 0000> Ok on Dish setting and tell me what satellites your aiming at and what the settings are

What kind of equipment are you using, DishPro? How many lnbs?

 

i don know much about this but i got cs6000 and one tv thats all.

 

I will try my best but without knowing your hardware its gonna be pretty hard. 1st descrepancy i see is both committed to 2. 119 should be committed to 1 and 110 to 2, you are only aimed at DN? Also your setting should look something like this:

LNB Power=ON
LNB TYPE=OCS-DP
LNB Freg= 11.250
22KHZ= off
DISEQC SWITCH =1.0
COMMITTED =1 119 2 for 110
LEGACY SWITCH=OFF

 

Guess something must have worked, no more pulse....lol
