    Breck, Billo, and Blank:

I have tried to switch the for the LNB as suggested. Good news I got most of the PPV channels back. Bad news they have the low signal strength of 30%-45% for those channels only.

    Any new advise.

I am not sure i understand this question but if you swapped lnb's then 110 should come in which is 90% of the PPV's , if 110 is only 35-45% you wont get any reception, if what your saying is the lnb now on 119 is getting 35-45% and 110 is good than you just solved your problem and found out that lnb needs to be replaced like we suggested last week.

Come on down, spring break is a big thing at the river. Lots of things to see, some is hard to believe, even for these old tired eyes.

Basicly the same problem that I had, re-appeared. My signal strength for 110 is at 95%/95% in the set-up area. Once I do the auto scan all channels that come in are at a signal strength of 90%+, except the PPV's on 110. They started out at a signal strength of 66% then went down to 30-35%. I switched out the DieqcSwitch to a CS4X1, still had the same result. I started to look for LNB's and have not found a local supplier. The supplier I bought the switch from only had what is called a "Dual LNB". He assures me that I could use with my dish. I will look for the singles and replace them both.

I really learned alot about the set up part of FTA's, and all that is due to your guys help-- Billo, Breck, and Mr. Blankstare thanks.

Ok so you switched the lnb's position on your "y" adapter and the same happened? Are your lnbs DP or DPP? Very simple solution for 47.00 plus tax. goto xxx (www) roxsat.biz goto lnbf circular and purchase 2 DSS dual lnbf "D" shape 19.99 each, and 1 "Y" adapter for 119/110 7.00, all have free shipping. These work under the Standard option with no built in switches or incompatability with DN equip.

I wrote a while back and got lots of help! Thanks! One more question.

I bought the Radio Shack USB to Serial Cable (because new computer doesn't have the serial port) Downloaded the driver (no problem) Went to hook it up and test it out and see that the NEW cable is male or pinned (or whatever it's called!) And so is the box.

Did I miss something? Do I need an adaptor-what is the part #? Do I have to get it from RadioShack? Or did I buy the wrong cable? (26-183, supports RS232)

    I guess that's 4 questions :)
    Thanks all...ellie

There is a solar water heater on the roof(concrete house)and there is a 1/2" copper water tubing close to the solar heater,so I ground the switches,to the 2 dish stands and ran #8 wire to the copper tubing, where it was clamped. The tubing to the water supply runs to the main supply line and is underground for more than 30 feet lengh and buried 2-3'. Very simple and cheap.
