scrambled channel mean your bin is not allowing you to view it. bad or no signal is hardware problem or snow on the dish or heavy rain/winds

Hey guys. Still no news out of f2atv. site yet.Got a question, does anyone know or understand why it takes much longer to get new bins on the cs4k,5k,& 6k models, as compared to cs6100,7000,ect? Are they that much different? Not complaining, just tryin to understand. It just seems to me that if they(the coders) can updated some models, the others would be fairly similar. Again, I'm a "newbie" and just wondered if anyone knew. I have read that it may have something to do with "cloned" models.

The way things are up and down with FTA right now, I would try and spend as little money as possile if looking for another receiver. Something like the Viewsat Lite model at around $100. That way if things change badly you didn't blow a bunch of money. I'm not saying we are going down and out, just making a safe statement.

Dont beleive everything you read. Back in December cs4/5/6 were the first comming out with fixes while 61/7/71/8/81 where the last so go figure... It will get better, they are a new team at NORW, replacing the ones that left... all in time

Your welcome Jenni, just because i test other stbs doesnt mean that i would ever abandon my CS5000 unless forced too. CS gets the best signal strength i have ever seen, my s and q are 97-99 mostly 99 all the time! Picture quality is very good too

i thought about getting rid of my 5000 once i see how the cw800 works for a while but after checking the going rate for them, i think i will keep it and use it till it burns out and then use it for a boat anchor before i sell it for 30 dollars.
