Coolsat 5000 Questions PART 2

I downloaded a channel master and it seems to give me a list of stations i can not currently get. Is there a way to remove this channel list with out flashing my box and losing my settings?

 

Thankyou guys, i really appreciate it.. i used TVKEYZ and it worked out okay for me, just waitin on the new bin now.. man, i hate puttin keys down manually! lol.. it sucks! but thanks for the heads up guys! ill dl the toolbar also!!

 

You can either select:
Menu/channels/delete channels. This will allow you to erase unwanted channels.
Or
Menu/system settings/Database reset, but this will make you re-enter all information and do a scan.

You can also take the list and upload it from your STB to computer when you open the loader2. This will remove the list (if it was saved as a .cha file), without ever having to reload a bin or re-enter all of your sat info.

 

hi one of my friends' coolsat 5000 is dead. he told me that while he was putting the new bin file, after writing the cord was accidentally pulled and now the box is not working. i think you need to flash it so can anyone give me good tips on how to revive the box or is it completely a goner?

 

My post earlier today was about an older ECM in the stream for BEV ONLY. I checked several sites and from what I could find out it was not completely active yet. If BEV goes out from this ECM then I'm sure someone will post what bin to use. I may mount a second dish for BEV when it gets warmer but as of right now I can only post what I read and have no way to check this information. For now if BEV is still working, don't worry about it.

DN is down, but you can turn autoroll off and put keys in. Look on the previous page.

I left autoroll on and mine just rolled.

 

Hey Jerry just thought you'd like to know... My cat just attacked your eagle as I was reading your last post. LOL

 

LOL, My eagle knows how to take care of itself. He has some nasty claws and can bite too. But if you treat him nice he can be a good guy. He's been around a long time now.

sorry to keep revisiting this. I bought the USB to serial cable. Went back to trade in for female. They sold me a "gender changer". The adapter has screw pin stubs on both top and bottom. So the adapter won't fit the box (the screw hole stubs are in the way.) Before I break my adaptor or fry my box,

Is it made to wrench off the extra set? Or is another trip to the store in order?

yeah i know what you mean ellierose, i have the same set up ..you got to modify your gender changer..take off all the hardware and plug it in ...make sure it stays onwhile loading files .... its worked for me for the last 9 months.. trust me and good luck..

 

I have been using my OTHER box here at the river, not the NFU***** and it has not gone down on DN. Is the going down just the Coolsplat?
