It's a bin file. If you didn't get it from a trusted site, better watch out, in the last few days there have been a bunch of junk going around.
I went to www.myfriendsareyourfriends.com and there are a lot of fixes listed. I am not sure which one to use. I have a coolsat 5000, still new at all this stuff. Tried to figure it out myself without bothering anyone, but I had not luck. Does anyone us this site and if you do can you tell me which fix to download and what the procedure is. Thanks so much for you help..............

Bill, Breck, Jerry... I really need your help, Set up problems. My problem is this, I cant seem to set up my satellites in the dish settings. -I have a dish pro dish and theres a lnb that says dish pro on it. -there are 4 connectors coming from the back of the lbn. -I have the cable from 119 going to my diseqc switch #1, 110 going to #2, and 91 (bev) to #3. Im no sure how to set up. If maybe one of you's have the same set up you can let me know how your is set up. It tells me to pick an lnb type, options are: single/universal/ocs/ocs-dp/legacy twin lnb1/legacy twin lnb2/legacy quad lnb1/legancy quad lnb2 At the diseqc swich, are the cables to be in as I stated above? I keep switching things around in there trying to figure it out and now I dont know how I had it set up. I had all sats in high level & quality and now I have poor L&Q in my 110sat. This is what i need help setting up; satellite/lnb power/lnb type/lnb freq/22khz/diseqc switch/committed/legacy switch Thank you more than I can express with words.
Rob, What's your set up? You got all them cables coming from one dish to multiple receivers. Or multiple receivers to one dish or both? If your trying to get both BEV and DN you'll need 2 dishes. If you only got one dish pro then you either go to DN or BEV. The connections on the LNB are usually for multiple receivers. ie. Frontroom, bedroom, kitchen and don't require any switches.
If he's using a super dish, he can get both BEV and DN, but difficult to setup. Far easier with 2 dishes. Playing with one requires alot of fine tuning.
