coolsat 6000 down

a stereo receiver

 

I need help setting my reciver please . do i need to download the firmware first and then download bin and then download the channel list into my reciver ? please help me wit it im new and i don`t know alot about this coolsat6000. thank you

 

Download the proloader
Download the factory 100 bin
Download the latest bin
Unzip all the above files.
Connect your receiver to your computer with the rs232 serial cable that came with the unit.
Open the loader and select the factory 100 bin
Load the 100 bin
When done, select the latest bin
Load the latest bin
When done, turn the rear power off, discoonect from the pc and connect to your tv.
When connected, turn on your rear power.
Go into the menu
Do a factory/database reset.
When done select your language.
Go to the menu, installation. Select your sat, change any settings that need changing. If everything looks correct, you should have 2 green bars, the upper right corner will tell you what sat you are aimed at and that should match the sat you just set up.
Now go in the menu and scan that sat for channels.
When completed, exit and save.
You will probably get a 'Scrambled Channel' message, but you have to wait for the autoroll to do it's job and correctly change the keys.
This might take 3-20 minutes, but eventually the picture will come on.

The latest bin? 171, but it doesn't work anymore.

What? Skipped 172 and your not sharing?

 

yes thats what i have 171 but its not working with all channels . im getting about 6 or 7 channels only

Stop posting your email - it's against the rules.
There is no bin 173. You have to do your own homework and either find the new bin yourself or wait until some news is posted where to get it.

 

O Ok im sorry , i didnt know its illegal like that. this coolsat6000 giving me alots of hard time lol

 

If you have it all setup, wait for a new bin.
No point playing with the settings when you don't know if your gaining.

 

why bin 171 is not working with all the channels ?

 

171 is no good.
172 is out now.

Updating bins on the 6000:

1) load bin 100 factory bin first
2) load the 172 bin
3) hook to tv, and do a factory reset.
4) select your sat and change settings if needed.
5) scan for channels.

 

why its keep saying Incomptible model when i wana download 172 to my coolsat6000 ? !!!

 

Did you unzip it?
Did you download the 6000 file and not 5000 or something by accident?

 

I need some help with my antenna setting useng a dish pro 500 for 82 and 91 what are the right settings??

 

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP BRECK. I got it and its great. and yes thats what i found out i was downloading the cs5000 instead cs6000 . but i did got the right one which it was 6000 (172) and i unziped it and it was perfect.

 

Depends on your lnb's and switches.

 

its a dish 500 pro I think the switches are built into to it. The settings that I'm useing now is this seems to be good do you agree?
