Hi....I've used dvd shrink and dvd Decrypter and both are saying the movie is to big for the disc. Please help me with this..thanks in advance
if the movie is too big to fit to disc after running shrink you can either A) Shrink it anyway and save to hard drive, then shrink the hard drive files again OR B) Remove the extras/subtitles/un neccessary sound streams/start and end credits using shrinks re-author function. This should be enough to get most movies down to an acceptable level of compression. Also recommend you use deep analysis etc for movies with more than say 15-20% compression
I went and used dvd shrink to back it up and dvd decrypter to burn it. I also changed the size of the disc to 4300mb...it copied to my hd but when dvd decrypter went to burn it said this message deviceiocontrol(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) FAILED unable to lock volume for exclusive access reason: incorrect function. any ideal what this means
Hey Kyrstal i do get that error message from dvd decrypter sometimes it was just trying to lock the drive but couldn't all u have to do is click the ignore button when it gives the error message and ur recording should start.
ok...I did click the ignore button and it recorded the movie just perfectly...I hear the background music and sound effects but can't hear the ppl talking...sigh....
I used shrink to back up The Ladykillers and did not have an ounce of trouble with it,excellent movie!
