Copy Xbox games and play them with no mod chip?

    Well, I was talking to someone, and they said there is no need for a mod chip, that you can actually burn an xbox game to a dvd-r, and crack it, to play it on your xbox with NO mod chip. Any truth in this? Because if so... I'll exploit this info. >:)

    there is one way to mod a box without a chip, but you still need a chip to do the mod. and it is a royal pain in the ass, not for the newbie. and your PC cant read xbox games, and you dont crack it, there are some games that require the default.xbe to be patched, your best bet is to just get a chip.

    Yes and NO.U will have to use either one of the exploits out there with Phoenix Boot Loader in order to mimic a modchip.So u can play a backup game with out a modchip but Phoenix will lauch a BIOS that will be workin like the regular chip.
