I just got a new DVD Burner for xmas that has an 80meg hard drive that will allow you to burn dvd to hard disk drive that are not copy protected, but everytime I put a dvd into the compartment to copy to hard drive, I get a message advising the dvd can not be copied.

Is there a way to do over come this?

With a Standalone Video recorder there is no way to copy Copy Protected DVD"s unless you get a Video stabilizer and Put it in between the Source DVD Player and your DVD Recorder....If you want to do Perfect Backups of DVD"s you are going to have to get a DVD Burner for your PC......
