I backed up and burned another dvd just so I know the first time wasn't a fluke. This time I got all the way to step 45 with the box showing operation successfully completed. DVD Decrypter automatically opened but I was faced with the same problem as yesterday. Green write arrow not active so could not burn the dvd. To solve this problem (and it worked for both dvd's I did today) I had to close DVD Decrypter then open it up again. After closing it then opening it everything works.
I checked that I had the ISO on write but it wouldn't work without closing DVD Decrypter and then re-opening it. PS My PC is a Dell Inspiron 8500 Notebook. It has a DVD RW drive. My external burner is Iomega Super DVD Quiktouch video burner.
I am having some issues with DVD Decrypter also but mine is regarding DL media. I have had no trouble using Decrypter and then Shrink to get the movies onto single layer disks, but when I tried using the ISO read/write mode to do Dual Layer disks I get an incompatible format error message. I definitely have a DL burner, and they are definitely DL disks so I am not sure what the issue is. I also verified that the ISO mode is write not read and that I am selecting the MDS file and not the ISO file to do that burn. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the issue might be?
Just want to let you know that I still have to close and then re-open Decrypter in order to burn a dvd but that still works and in fact that process even lets me burn at 8x speed as well as at 4x. The reason the 8x is important to me is that here in Asia 8x speed blank disks far outnumber 4x speed disks in the stores.
thistle48 you might try uninstalling and reinstalling dvd decrypter to see if that solves your problem. also just because you have 8x blank media DOESNT mean you must burn it at 8x you can burn it at 4x also which you should be doing
