copying protected pc games

    im new to afterdawn im first wondering how fast the reply is to my question but that doesnt realy matter.
    this is my question (it is real question not a time test).i have a double disk pc game (medievil total war)its mine and i was going to make a copy incase i lose my real one .but it wont let me burn it it says its a read error and i dont get it. i think its a protection and if it is is there a program that i can use to crack it ?

    You can't back up a game with plain-jane burning software. The first thing you need to do is download A-Ray Scanner to find out what copy protection your game uses.

    Then you need to read the guides about backing up the various protections that are in bold print at the top of this forum.

    That being said, BlindWrite5 and Alcohol 120% are two very, very good programs for backing up protected games.
