I am new to Ripping DVD's with OSX. I am using DVD Backup and would like to be able to copy my DVD so I could watch it in a normal DVD player. Since most of the movies are over 4.7G I want to know the easiest way to either burn it to several DVD's or get it to fit on one. Do most DVD players play Divx movies? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

You need DVD2OneX, whcih will run you about $60 American. With that software you can fit any size DVD onto one 4.7 gig blank media.

I have yet to see a dvd player that plays DivX format, however most will play a VCD. Look at DigitalMacs DVD Backup Tutorial on this website for info on how to split DVDs over 4.36 Gigs on to 2 DVD-Rs.

Thank you for the advice, the DVD2onex works flawlessly. I have succesfully done several DVD's. The best part is the speed. I highly recommend to anyone.
