Try switching you media. The ones you are using now are made by Prodisc and not always great or compatible with drives.

For this drive I'd try and get 8x media. Ones to use would be Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or made in Japan Fuji, Sony or Maxell.
I have this same drive and it's quite picky on media - esp. 16x.

    Not a problem rj007
Look for the made in Japan Fuji's - the ones you have are made in Taiwan.

    Keep us posted!

    You're welcome rj007
Brands like Fuji and Memorex use different manufacturers so you can get a different one.
Watch the Memorex too - they can use some really iffy manufacturers.

If you can't get made in japan media in store go for Verbatim or Sony.
