I have been using Nero 7 Ultra edition in conjunction with Dvd Shrink 3.2.0.15 for the last couple years with minimal problems. Lately I have been getting quite a few burn failures. I usually get the "Could Not Perform End of Disc Once" message followed by "
Burn Process Failed at 16x". I recently uninstalled the Nero 7 version that I purchased using the Nero Clean tool. Then I download from the Nero site the latest update 7.10.1.2 and installed that. I hoped that it would solve my problem with Nero Burning ROM. My problems have only increased. I am using Sony DVD+R Ver. 1.3/1x-16x discs. I have read through quite a few different threads over the last couple of weeks and attempted to implement some of those solutions but none seem to work including updating my Philips DVD firmware. I have included a copy of the error log that I get each time I burn. If anyone could help that would be great.

You may still have Nero 6 hanging around.
Try running the claen tools for 6 and 7.

Be careful what you are running while burning.
You do not have a lot to spare.

    How oled is the burner?

ERROR: POWER CALIBRATION AREA IS FULL

"that error signals that the unit cannot track a particular zone used for calibrating the laser power, so it refuses to burn to avoid damages and injuries. Tipical of low-quality or damaged discs, or dirty lens."

What discs are you using? Could not find them in your log.
EDIT: I did find them in your post.
Back to 56delray's question, if your drive is old, even with up to date firmware, might still not be compatible with current media.

Also see related to your error:

The DVD burner is what came with the Dell Dimension 8400 computer when I bought it 3 years ago. I have never upgraded the firmware until now. I have heard bad things about this particular model.

Also, I will try to use the Nero clean tool again to see what happens.

Sorry I about the last post.

I was referring to the low amount of RAM you have.

Most of the time you should something like the above in your log.
The fact that your log does not have manufacturer code may point to the media being a problem.

Download this tool to see what media you have.

The code should be one of these.
