If I get the following specs: Motherboard: Asus Maximus or any other compatible motherboard CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600 RAM: 4GB Hard drive: 512GB Video Card: ATI RADEON HD 3870 Sound Card: Sound Max OS: Windows Vista will I be able to play the latest games with full speed. Also, will I be able to download, burn and play games at the same time with ease? Also, can you tell me what parts of the pc is best for gaming according to my specs? Thanks!
so, the core 2 quad Q6600 is the best cpu out there? Wow! So, how much is the Q6600? Also, what other parts of my pc should i upgrade?
here this is a nice one http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3109410&CatId=2547
Yes, but I would highly recommend the Maximus over that one. For the same price, you get PCI-e 2.0 and better overclocking. Yes, but Crysis is still a different story. You will definetly be able to play it with all high, but not very high settings at a decent resolution. Yes, you can download and play games at the same time, since the Q6600 is great at multi tasking. The best parts for gaming are the graphics card, cpu, ram and motherboard. Not nessesarly. The Core 2 Quad Extreme processor series (950 and up) are currently the best out there. The Q6600 isnt a "true" quad core processor, it is essentially 2 duel cores combined into 1. The Extreme processors are all separated cores. I allready told you. Anything with socket 775 for the cpu and PCI-e for the video card.
What other components of my new pc should I upgrade in order to play the latest games on very high or ultra performance with ease? Thanks!
i would get a sli mobo and get two 8800gt with like 4gb ram @ 800 with the q6600 full tower case thats wat im makin but som parts are not here yet
So, I have put together these specs for my new gaming computer: Motherboard: ASUS Maximus Special Edition CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600 Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3870 Sound Card: Sound FX (comes with motherboard) RAM: 4GB OS: Windows Vista Just tell me what you think of my new computer and then i'll be off to buy this machine! Thanks!
No computer to date can play Crysis with ease (60+ fps) You can play crysis on all high settings with a decent resolution though, just not very high.
