Cracking PC Games for Copying

    Hey...thanks for the tip to update my graphic card...
    it kinda worked!
    I was able to start it (yay!) but in the background there was a high pitched "BEEEEEEEEP" the whole time...so i started it again and it did the same thing as usual again (the screen goes black for a while and eventually it restarts).

    hmm this looks more like an hardware or game software problem to me. i don't think an other cd will change anything here.
    check if there is a game update on ea.com, maybe it'll fix your problem. also, go check out EA's support forums, they have a list many frequent game crashes and solutions to them in their forums if i rmember right.

    hey gang, i have bought stronghold 2 and then i made the mistake of laying the play disk around and it got scratched. but before it was messed up,i made a backup on a CD but when i tried to use alcohol 120% it didn't work. i may have did something wrong, i used ray scanner (newest one) it showed it as, SecuROM 7.00.00.0021 detected -> E:\Disk2\Stronghold2.exe, is there anyone here that can help me get a good image of this game, i would greatly appreciate it! also i have alcoholer (newest ver) as well

    I highly doubt A120 will be able to burn a working copy of a SecuROM 7 game even with the best burner out there. I'd say your best chance would be to use A120's emulation options and burn very slow or try to rip a good image to your hard disk and mount it in a virtual drive.

    What make/model burner are you using?

    the burner is a Aopen CRW5224,if alcohol can't do it...what is a good method to get stronghold to work.appreciate your help,you is doing a good job

    Unfortunately Aopen's drives aren't EFM capable so with EFM being a necessary write quality when backing up PC protections we're not going to have any luck with it. SecuROM has always been a real booger to back up and version 7 is the very latest and very hard to reproduce from what I've read.

    For the sake of clarity are you trying to read your image from the original or from a previous backup?

    I am having, similar problem with Stronghold 2, is there any way to make the cd image work??? Anyone know how to crack that Securom 7??

    I know one way, with alcohol 120, but very is one problem, you have to have NARS's blacklist fix to brake s7, but you can get only if you have purchased a alcohol 120, they have special forum where you can get it for cumstomers, please help if anyone can ;)

    HELP! I did all the disc copy stuff and it keeps saying Disc read error sector**** etc. Im trying to copy halo PC

    Ok i did all the right things and i have a full copy of Alcohol 120%. I set the safedisc to 2/3 read 4x and it says dumping cd read error XXXX etc and it will take for ever.

    About Me i'm 14 with a custom PC. I built 2.68 P4 with 1gig kingston ram 333mhz. 2 dual raided 80gig western digital hd's 8mb chace 7200. custom case. 8fans nvidia 5700LE GF card. Saving for a 6800GT. Thats IT.

    Is there something I'm missing camstuff? Why exactly are you linking to the home page of that site which I know I've already warned you against linking to and why is it better than AD? If you feel we're not doing a good enough job here then please jump in with some technical advice but don't link to that site or any site like it anymore.

    YES! IT Worked I copyed Halo PC! It Ran for about 30mins and then finished!
