ok I have downloaded slayers 2.6 and 2.7 I have tried them both on verbatim CD-RW and Sony DvD-R I have followed instructions on numerous sites with the thoughts below a. the iso is windows format b. i extract the iso with poweriso c. i recreate the iso with qwix thus making a xboxiso file .. d. i use nero to burn either a cdr or dvd iso e. i set the disc to finalise i have tried about 8 combinations and none will boot from the dvd drive I get the xbox logo, then excuter rocks my box .... then stalls The xbox is a crystal xbox so is version 1.5 or 1.6 It has a xecuter3 chip which is showing all the right lights When i turn the chip off (with a long press of the power button) the ms dashboard comes up no worries I also did this with a game and an audio cd to check that the dvd drive was still working after such a long break and both prompted playing in the msdash am i missing something? thanks in advance I am hitting the sack now at 130am but in the morning I will try to get an evox dash, edit the evox.ini, use Qwix to make an xboxiso ... then burn with nero and fingers crossed ...
There was no 1.5 .. so a crystal will be a 1.6a or b .. the b only likes to boot from bank 2 on an xecuter for some strange reason.. and I don't think anybody ever bothered to work out why.
