I copied my Freaky Friday CD to my laptop's hard disk (just prior to breaking the CD). Now I want to burn a DVD so I have a back up copy. Can this be done? I have recently purchased DVD X Maker and DVD X Copy platinum. (I wish I would have made a copy prior to this). Thanks for any help.

Yes you can still make a back up copy. First you will need to get a copy of DVD Shrink. This will allow you to compress the DVD to fit on a single DVD+-R. To do this follow this guide.

    http://www.polarhome.com:793/~afonic/shrink31.htm

The change that you will have to make is in step 3. Instead of clicking on the open disk button in the main window you will need to go to file then open. This will allow you to browse for your files. Make sure that all your files are stored in a single folder. Follow the rest of the steps in the guide.

Once you have compressed to files to fit on a single DVD+-R you will need to burn these files to your DVD. I am not familiar with DVD X Copy Platinum but I did find this guide.

If I were you I would invest in Nero, being that it is a superior program.
