I have ran across several tutorials on how to create/burn cue/bin files although I can't seem to find out 'how' to create a '.bin. file manually, rather then using CDRWIN.

I guess what i'm trying to point out to you is, i want to create a .bin file manually, rahter creating one from the disc stand alone? is there a way possible i can compress files into a .bin image, without then need of a cr-rom?

    Eample:

Say perhaps the folder that I have the files in are standard windows files.. how do i make the directory into a .bin

    - The clue less wonder: ethic

This is possible with WinISO: Drag'n'drop files/folders to create an .iso image; convert .iso to .bin. Other useful image handling software:
    Isobuster
    CDMage

    Using WinISO
    1. Start WinISO
    2. Actions --> Add Files/Add directory
    3. Actions --> Set CD Label Name --> Give it a name
    4. When done adding files, File --> Save As --> Give it a name
    5. Convert --> ISO to BIN
    6. Set the 'source file' to the file you made in Step 5. Set the 'destination file' as whatever you want to save it as. Click 'Convert'
    7. You now have BIN/CUE files

    Using Nero
    1. Start Nero
    2. Make a DataCD with all appropriate settings
    3. Recorder --> Choose Recorder --> Select Image Recorder
    4. Burn as you would normally by Nero will ask you to specify a location to save the NRG (cd-image file). Give it a location
    5. Open CDMage --> Drag and drop the NRG file into CDMage (if it asks you for 'method' of reading, select Mode2/2048... that should work... if not, fiddle around).
    6. File --> Save As --> Give it a name
    7. Default save options should suffice
    8. You now how BIN/CUE files
