Hi Guys, I just put the qoob chip in my GC (first time with a soldering iron) and to my supprise it works!!! I thought I was in for some real problems after researching in this forum as the success rates seem to vary.

Anyway.... I'm really interested in the whole multi game disk thing. If games shrink down to 180MB and 32MB, you should be able to get loads on the same DVD (Obviously that depends on the game). Could anyone provide a how to guide?

    How to v0.1 (Draft)....

    1. Get gmc or iso file from your backup collection ).
    2. Get rid of all the crap data from each image using ?????
    3. Merge all the small images you want with ????? as long as you keep below the max size (1.3GB)
    4. Add all the crap on again to make the new image the correct size.
    5. Burn this image and let qoob do the rest

If only it was this easy as I'm just guessing. Can someone fill in the blanks or change it so this is correct?

    Thanks all )

I kind of aready said what you need to use in my posts, but i'll type some steps anyway.

    1. The smiley face tells me you already know how to get ISOs to your computer. =D

2-4. Get Viper Multi Boot ISO Creator.
This will answer questions 2 through 4.

Download V1.3b that 'pCeSlAyEr' posted on 7/15/05. I think that's the newest one.

2 & 3. First click on output name, and name the image whataver you want, make it end with .iso if you want to burn with nero.
Then Add the ISO/GCM. When you do this, it will remove the garbace space for you and tell you the actual size each game.
Then it will add it to the ISO/GCM and show up on the list on the right.
If a game is too large, it will let you know.

NOTE: Sometimes the program would appear to freeze while adding some games. Just leave it on and once the ISO is finished being added, it will unfreeze itself.

You can also rename each game, this is self explanatory. It just edits the game title. The you'll see the title when you select which game to load on the DVD (see the picture I posted in a previous post to see what that looks like)
I'm glad they have this, it REALLY bugs me when some games are in ALL CAPS (like Luigi's Mansion).

When you are finished, click on Quit. It will ask you if you are sure you want to quit, say yes.

    4. Then it will ask if you want to make the ISO to 1.35GB... YES

    5. Then just burn the image with Nero just like a regular Gamecube ISO.

When you put the disk into the Gamecube, it will let you select which game to load.

    I'm a slow typer... I hope I helped!

    Hi,

Ok so now I have my new iso image with 2 games but the games I tried didn't seem to get much smaller. I'll need to go through them all to see what sizes I can shrink each game down to.

    List to follow...

you are limited to 1.35GB not the 4.7GB dvd5 gives you. this is because the laser will only reach/read that far. and it MUST be exactly 1.35 GB (1,459,978,240 bytes), the proggy the author linked too will do that with a simple click.
