hi, i was just wondering if, like on the ipod, do you have to keep all of the music files on the computer aswell as the mp3 player

WAH ?!! You only need em on your pc if your planning on deleting off the mp3 player and later putting it back on. Its not as if the mp3 player will know that u deleted the songs off the pc ;) I hope this answered your question.

i mean, like you need to keep them on the i-tunes, so the are saved in, for e.g. -- C:/Program Files/Apple/I Tunes, or something

No, I think u might be able to re-direct the path so it knows where the have move to. I doubt they HAVE to stay in i-tunes folder

i have a creative (20GB), and you don't need to keep 'em on the PC.

i was originally gonna copy the whole lot off Zen onto hard disc as a backup to safeguard against the Zen's hard drive going splat.

But for one the Zen is chock full so i don't want to have 20GB used up on PC, but i got 'em all on MP3 cd's anyway so can always copy any back anytime if need be

mine froze on me once, but that was only when i held fast forward down for a while. it's been (touch wood) well behaved for ages now.

before that i had a 2nd hand archos something-200 and it froze all the time and broke after a day. did loads of reading up on zen's and archos and freezing is a common problem.

Is that for all zens or just the Zen Touch, cos I've had my 5gb Zen Micro for months and I've had no problem what so ever with it :S

i'm sure i read the same thing for the micro's too. i use mine for hours at a time at work most days and it's great.

it does annoy when i read so much about freezing, as they're only glorified hard drives with some software stuck on top, and in this day and age they should all just work flawlessly

Hey, I have the Creative Zen Touch 20gb mp3 player: [IMG]

No problems with it so far, the only thing is the cheap earphones, I bought new ones, and the the scroller is very touchy even with the sensitivity on Low.

    @ ken_919

yes you are right on both counts there! as soon as i bought the zen i got some decent sony fontopes and the sound is fantastisch!! also yer i agree the touchpad is too sensetive. other people that have used have said the same. but you have to agree that after a month or 2, it is really easy to get the hang of.

    im lovvin it!

my Zen headphones broke within a day, seems it's extremely common (i read that to mean deliberate but hey). i was gonna just buy a pair of standard £7 Sony's from the argos catalogue as (let's face it) the sound from the zen is nothing revolutionary, but found a spare pair of (£7 Sony) headphones at work in my draw and they're still going strong.
