Absolutly the best copy program is DVD X COPY.http://www.dvdxcopy-international.ca/setup/DVDXPv4.0.3.8.exe BUT YOU NEED AN ACTIVATION KEY. If used with ANYDVD, It will copy anything without ripping. it is a 1 stop simple process. you may have to buy a licence.

    baltekmi,

I imagine you will catch a lot of flack from this forum for that statement!

I have 2 versions of DVD X-Copy. Gold and Platinum. For a straight up copy it's ok but it doesn't compress dual density DVDs down to 1 4.7 DVD disk! Nero does a good job as well but with the same problem.

    baltekmi,

I'm sorry, I missed this question. Must have not given me an update. No it won't hurt the GPU. It actually runs cooler at lower resolutions. The max resolution for your 6800 is way higher than 1024x768 so right now it's loafing. Sorry about the delay in answering. Then again I just might have been caught up in aabbccdd's Sig!!!!! Nice, very nice!!!!!

Lol I wonder how many people run the X1900 series at 1024x768 when it's capable of 2560x1600...

    aabbccdd,

Hey, all I was doing was checking for flaws. She doesn't seem to have any! I just sort of got side-tracked. She is definately finer than frog hair!

No I am not kidding.. for what I do, it is fine. I can copy a dvd in 10 mins or less. Looks just fine on my old 32"crt. Looks much better than at the theather.. that rreally sucks. I am not into ripping and the such, but would like to learn.

I have no problems with duel density dvd's, but that does take about 25 min.
I know I need a new monitor... any suggestions?
By the way that picture is my daughter.

baltekmi, Veiwsonic is def. the way to go

    http://viewsonic.com/

they have a 19" LCD thats 2ms respone time. or the one i have per my sig is very nice.

if your using anydvd with x copy that works i guess but your best choice would be to use clonedvd 2 with anydvd best combo out there no nag screen , better picture quality than x copy

I do have clone dvd 2, the problem I have with it, is it does not have the quality of dvd-x copy.. lots of hang ups and drop scenes.

is it the lastest verison ? 2.8.9.9

what media are you using? and whats your burn speed?

Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim being the best you can get and burning at 4x or 8x with a good machine with updated firmware, no other programs running on clean machine helps lots

    aabbccdd,

All I can say is that Adriana is beautiful. Don't know if you are kidding about her being your daughter. For all I know, she could be someone famous. I don't watch TV or read newspapers very often so there are a lot of young faces that I don't know or recognize. Makes me wish that I was young again though.

    Baltekmi,

I'm not a gamer so I wouldn't trade my Sceptre for the Viewsonic. I wasn't very happy with the new Viewsonics (8ms) at my old job. They looked great but after a while they hurt my eyes. I can spend all day on mine with no eyestrain. The price, $329 is excellent as well, and I've yet to see a downside to having a widescreen. For watching DVDs, it's the best picture I've ever seen! I can't wait to see how it looks with the new build in about 2 or 3 weeks!

    baltekmi,

I have DVD X-Copy. I don't know anything about Clone DVD 2. DVD X-Copy is just a straight up copier with no compression. The quality should be exactly the same as the original. Just like it would be with Nero or Roxio. The quality should be the same for all 3! DVD Shrink 3.2 works fairley well although RB/SSE is the best but it takes time to rip it first, then encode it with RB and finally burn it to a disk. I use DVD Fab Decrypter to rip with. Combined with AnydVD it rips most dVDs in about 10 - 15 minutes. This way I get working files with the copy protection removed that I can process with RB or DVD shrink. If I want the whole disk I process it with RB/SSE and then burn it from the output file. If I want the main movie (which is most of the time) and the file size is reasonably close to 4.7 I'll just use DVD Shrink to copy it.
