I have recently purchased and installed the Cucusoft DVD & Movie/Video Converter Suite. I'm having difficulty converting numerous music video MPEG files to the iPod format. They play on the Cucusoft GUI iPod player when I add them to the Cucusoft Coverter [Step 1] but when I press the "Convert" button the screen on the GUI iPod goes Green. When I try to play back the converted file using QuickTime or Windows Media Player it's also a Green screen, but the original MPEG-4 files plays OK?

I have downloaded the Codec Pack after reading similar problems on another forum; this seems to have cured my DVD Converter but not the Movie/Video conversion?

The latest 5.25 version works nice for mpeg to ipod conversion. Just upgrade it from http://support.cucusoft.com/
If it still doesn't work, just post here. I will tell you the second solution to fix this problem.

Thank you for your response, to my knowledge I have the latest version as I've only downloaded the software in the last few days. The iPod Conversion Suite is version 5.25.5.8?

I, too, have the "green screen" from personally recorded DVD's. I went to the Cucusoft site and downloaded the most recent software - the version 5.25 - ending in 8 -- but it did not fix the problem. Now the end product has a multi-colored striped screen. Help anyone?

I just downloaded the Cucusoft suite yesterday, so presumably I have the latest version. I too am getting the green screen when downloading self-recorded programs. I tried a trial version of "Pocket PC Wizard" and didn't have a problem. Before I buy another software, can someone tell me the fix for this? Thank you.

Excuse me, I meant to say when "converting" self-recorded programs. dkmopq, looks like you have some valuable guidance on this. Anything you or others would be willing to share would be most appreciated!

    @cwkris,
Are you using the trial version or the full version of cucusoft? Which version is it (5.25 or 3.22)? Which format is your self-recorded video?
You can also use xilisoft or PQ DVD to iPod converter to convert dvd/video for your iPod following this guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/253137

I purchased the full version. It worked very well for commercially recorded DVDs

I went to the site and downloaded the earlier 3.22 version and it worked fine. The format of the recorded programs is VOB. Is this my best course of action?

I was hoping to avoid purchasing another product since cucusoft seems to be so highly recommended. Perhaps I bought too soon...

I too have been getting the green screen. I thought I was doing something wrong and was suprised to see that others were having the same problem. I would be very greatful if somebody could advise me what I need to do to solve this problem.

I have already tried downloading version 5.25.5.11 but this has not worked.

    Any help apreciated

I am about as far from expert as possible, but downloading the earlier version resolved the green screen problem for me.

    Hi,
I downloaded version 3.16. When I open it I get a prompt to update but I just click No. The green screen problem is gone for me using this older version.

    Whitefat,

I had similar problems and can't confess to being expert at it. I found I had an outdated version of the cucusoft bundle although I'd only downloaed it two days prior. I also obtained the latest CODEC drivers from a support website, one was a multi-package of drivers and the other one was DivX, once I'd installed them on my PC everything seemed to fall into place. There are still a couple of DVD's I can't convert but I think that's to do with the software encription and having the right CODEC. Suggest you find the links for the CODEC support on this websites iPod forum and install them.

    Cheers
